Brief Description:  Front cabin air vents

Have been pondering for some time about the cabin air vents. Some don't seem to like the plans versions, and actually notice a speed change when they are opened! They also look a little oversized to me, and far too deep to be an actual NACA duct. Hmmmmm.

I had been toying with the concept of 3D printed versions, but figgered I could do it myself with simple forms if I do it in stages.

After much pondering about divergent ducts and some builders disatisfaction with 1" eyeball vents decide to go with the Aircraft Spruce double eyeball vent, and design the duct to match, and after downloading a NACA plotter and a bit more pondering decide the actual NACA part will be 1.7" wide, 4" long and 1" deep. I marked up a bit of hardwood and carved it to match the profile. I now have to figger out how to make a hole in the side of the aeroplane that matches this shape. The plans method looks a bit slapdash to me.

Mark up the fuselage side, and decide I will have to be a bit higher than the plans and a touch forward to make the divergent duct easier, and still miss the elevator fairings.

Also marked up another location on the fuselage bottom just in front of the landing brake for a rear seat vent duct up the port side of the seat brace.
