Brief Description: Canopy forward lip and fuselage top
Removed the plastic packers and glue blobs and sanded the leading edge straight. Removed canopy frame.
Final trimmed the canopy frame sides and drip rail. It now all fits lovely. I marked and sanded the edges, checking my work with a straightedge as I proceeded, using a long board sander. Looked along the edge from either end and saw obvious incongruities... Adjusted for reality and made it lovely.
Taped top of fuselage around the canopy frame and re-installed with locating pins.
Hot glued the 1/16" packers to the leading edge of the canopy frame, and a coreflute dam onto the front of F28.
Prep sanded, then applied a layer of fill to the fuselage top between the leading edge of the canopy frame and F28, extending down onto the elevator fairings.
