Spent a couple of days working with offcuts of acrylic, building confidence for working with the canopy. Tried the Glastar tool, an angle grinder with a 100mm 40g sanding disc on a rubber backing plate. It makes a horrendous mess, but delivers really controllable precision trimming to a line.
Made a new landing light window, to a wooden form, and trimmed it roughly to shape. Cut fuselage windows from 3mm acrylic.
Made a template to fix the height of the canopy over the instrument panel. Retaped the top of the longerons, replaced the frame foam and the canopy. Still needs to drop about 10mm at the instrument panel, marked a new cutline.
