Brief Description:  Strake fairing blocks

Trimmy, trimmy, all OK.

Shaped port outboard fairing block. Started with a hand saw, rough cut to1/4" of profile with router table, final profile with dremel router table.

Profiled window flange with dremel router and sandpaper.

Decided the light compartment needs a foam core, so routed out a 3/8" depression with dremel router, cut a bit of 3/8" foam to match, cut grooved 80% through the top and fitted into depression. Secured with urethane glue at the edges and hot glue onto spacers below, (wing foam).

Filled gaps with slivers of last-a-foam and urethane glue.

Prepped foam on the starboard fairing block, and applied 2 x UND overlapping the strake by 3/4". One ply parallel to the leading edge, and one at right angles, peel ply over all.

Hardshelled blue wing foam with leftover micro, roughly screed remainder onto the fuel blister flanges.
