Brief Description:  Weight of micro

Made a test of my micro mixing efforts. I took 56g of MGS resin, and added microballoons until I hit the 'dripping-cream' consistency of a slurry, at which point the 56g had grown to 85g, and more than doubled in volume.

Adding more until the micro still looked wet, but will hang off the mixing stick and hold its shape, it now weighed 92g, and had doubled again. This is plans 'dry micro'.

Adding microballoons until a mixing stick, (that was not 3mm hardwood like mine are), would break, (ask me how I know this), you get a dry looking and slightly crumbly mess that has doubled yet again in volume, and nearly fills the 500g margarine box I prefer for such mixing. Result weighs 98g, and is JUST spread-able. This is the consistency I fill dings I will not cover with a layup until it has cured, because otherwise it sucks resin out of the layup. Wot fun.
