Looking around for jobs to do before flipping the plane over again tomorrow. Decide the initial lip for the cowling would be easier with the plane inverted, so made some 2 x 2" blocks of wing foam and hot glued them to the firewall, filling the gaps with slivers of wing foam. Taped up fuselage and profiled the foam to follow the form of the fuselage, then covered with box tape.
Prepped fuselage skin and applied 4 x BID, overlapping 1.5" onto the fuselage out to the edge of the foam blocks. Then peel ply.
