Brief Description:  Installing strake table, port side

Over the past week I've been nibbling at the issue of levels and alignment. A distraction was a rasping sore throat, quite topical as the world is coming to terms with a COVID-19 pandemic. Apparently I have nothing to worry about, no fever, no cough, so no corona virus.

Have realised the table need to have the weight of the wing on it, so it will just slide on or off the bolts. Buy a few 'Winbag' to help jack it up and down. With the following method I can now get a wing off and on in about 10 minutes on my own.

#1 Place table outboard of the outboard wing attach point, with a sheet of ply betwixt, and 4 Winbags under the corners of that.

#2 Raise the nose until the weight is coming onto the table.

#3 Pump up the Winbags until I judge the wing is supported.

#4 Undo the wing bolts. If I have it right the wing just slides off onto the table.

Checked all the levels again, and with the longerons and starboard wing level the port is nose down! Pulled the port wing off, added an 816L to the lower attachment point. Bolted the wing on and all is now level. Phew!

Fiddled with strake table and levels until roughly right, then covered the top with old laminated maps to avoid a repeat of the foam join fiasco. Fine tune the levels and stick everything up with bondo and hot glue blocks.
