Fiddled for ages with the hinge pins, an absolute bastard to fit every time. Kept breaking the 1.5mm drill bit I have been inserting in the tip to twist it. Removed the Elevators, and discover the pins are tight in a couple of the Canard bearings. I don't recall fitting the pins without the Elevators in the recent past, and wonder why it hadn't occured to me to do so. Ream the tight bearings out, sand a bit of smoothness back into the pins, ream out the fitting holes to 2mm and discover they all work a lot better. I can now fit the elevators with the spool piece in position in a couple of minutes. Joy! Glue back on a washer that got displaced.
Made a jig to hold the Elevators inboard end up against the edge of the workbench to glass the foam I left exposed when I did the rest.
