Brief Description:  Properly fit Canard for first time

Life! Most of a month off! Not willing to commit to the next step I procrastinated, and then injured my leg at a fire and couldn't even get into the shed, let alone bend enough to do anything for a couple of weeks. I was thinking and reading though, and have devised a plan of action to move forward. Have consoled myself that floxing in the spar is not an irredemable step, as the plans say I can 'just' cut it out again with a hacksaw blade. Hmmmmm.

Step one: Fully install the Canard with Elevators for the first time. I have had a bugger of a time getting the Elevator pins in to the point I have never mounted them fully with the connecting spool piece in place. Wayne Blackler reccomended to somebody on the list whilst I was incapacitated use anti-sieze lube on the pins. I gave them a polish and got them both in pretty easily. Go Wayne.

Having firmed my ideas on a fairing attached to the fuselage, marked the elevators for a straight cut about 1" from the fuselage. Mounted the Canard again and contemplated the result.

Continued the measure/mark/trim process as before, including an accurate sight on the Canard
