Evaluation of urethane bond glue, soaked in unleaded petrol for two days. When stressed it fails at the glueline. When petrol has evaporated the strength comes back and the test piece fails at the foam. Another test piece assembled with 5-min epoxy does not change strength after 2 days immersed in fuel, and fails at the foam.
Result: No urethane glue in fuel sensitive areas made with E-Z Poxy. This means my first attempt at right seat front and side bulkheads are scrap.
Made a new slopey bottom for the sump tank out of scrap 3/4" H45, extended with 1/4" H100. Assembled with 5-min epoxy and tapered with the Drew Chaplin patented router table thingie.
Decide to put the whole thing on hold, need the right rear removable armrest in place before I install the sump tank/right rear forward seatback bulkhead.
Assembling the core
Firing up the router table thingie
Produces perfectly tapered part and a mound of mess
