Over the previous days trimmed the layups, having some difficulty removing the pins, and spent a lot of time cleaning same.
Tried fitting some rivets, but it seems my flox pads are thicker than planned, and selected solid rivets won't cut the mustard. Cant fit the rivet squeezer in the Rudder or Winglet Tip hinge location. Spend a lot of time trying to play with custom bit for the squeezer to make it work, but only the tapered spacer over the head works.
I get despondent again, but review the Long Ez plans again and decide to fit what solid rivets I can whilst remaining in spec, and commit to BSC-44 countersunk pull rivets where I can't. Having actually made that decision relieves quite a bit of anxiety.
