Brief Description:  Rudder cut out

Trimmed overlap of left fillet to a pleasing shape, leaving about 5mm. Found the old template on the floor, amended it, and transferred the shape to the right, using 38mm sanding drum and sandpaper.

Marked up rudder cutline as per my 'corrected' plans and discover this would place the bottom cutline BELOW the aft tip, despite the plans and observed practice placing it about 1" above it. Remarked it all, starting from 1" above the top cut line and it still looked wrong. Cleaned off all the marks again and pondered for a bit. Placed the bottom cut where I wanted it, moved the top cut up 0.8" from the plans position, and adjusted the middle hinge up 1.1" to conform with the plans feng shui. Was quite angry at this point, and could not be bothered adjusting the vertical cut line for a slightly higher tip. [Timewarp 1 hour: Marked the cutlines for the hinges on the inner and outer surface, and cut the outer surface first, which was lucky because that is where the hinges are and a cut on the inner surface would be a small disaster. Also forgot the plan to stagger the cutlines to ensure no binding, as done in VH-EZS. Jeez, I've got binding.]

Cut out rudders, cutting glass with multitool and foam with hacksaw blade.

Started cutting coves, and had a revalation. Instead of balancing on the edge of a ruler cut a slot in the ruler and used it as a miniature Drew Chap
