Brief Description:  Winglet installation Layup #2

Trimmed layup, all OK.

Opened up Rudder cable Wing pockets.

Relieved inner Winglet skin down to level of IRBH, (leaving the original profile at the tip and near the Wing trailing edge, for lower Winglet orientation), and rounded for 2 x BID installation. Unlike the plans and Wayne Hicks method, I'm putting the BID on the exterior skin for the full 2". Prep sand for this, "Block A" and IRBH mount with 80g and a plastic abrasive wheel.

Reinstalled the hinge jigs and checked IRBH placement. Shim the inboard with a small cured piece of 2 x BID to tweak the angle. Make a foam spacer to hold the tip in the right place. Was keen to install the IRBH, but may need the access to clean up after installing "Block A".

Finish shaping "Block A" and install with Urethane Bond glue. The transition I cut to the IRBH pocket means a small wedge of foam is required under it. Tried to secure with cloth tape, with no success, eventually fit a couple of clamps.
