Brief Description:  Upper Winglet/IRBH installation prep

Cut glass for Layup #1/2.

Suddenly realise I have not thought sufficiently about the Internal Rudder BellHorns, (IRBH). I have the RAF plans for this mod, and while I have read them I have not really understood them. I do so again and have a glimmer of understanding, having got more familiar with the original Cozy/LongEz plans they modify. I review notes I have made about Wayne Hick's installation, acknowledged as the modern way to do it and finally understand some of the things within. I am staggered to finally understand the RAF IRBH plans do not give me all the information I need to install them in a new build, they assume I have a functioning EXTERNAL bellhorn, and a Rudder that is sitting on its hinges to use their instructions. Whilst they hint that a new build is possible, they don't give any clear information on how to go about it.

I go back to Wayne Hick's website and review his process, and understand it for the first time, and, (with all due respect) am not sure I want to do it that way either. His first step is to, (with due regret and suitable contemplation), remove a lot of the structure I am about to install. This is justified, as you would have to do this to make the RAF IRBH installation work, and this must be OK, as stacks of people have done this, with RAF/Co-Z approval.

Decide not to proceed until I evaluate if the plans internal Winglet rib can be adjusted to be a suitable mount for the IRBH, and its line adjusted to make a nice roof for the IRBH pocket. I dimly see this will require a slight change to the path of Layup #3, but instinctively think this is better than removing part of it.
