Brief Description:  Fitting Nose Gear & Rudder Pedals

Extended the gear, (manually), and smoothed the hole.

Relieved F-22 a bit until it looks nice and NG-1 contacts the rudder torque tubes before anything else.

[Timewarp 18NOV2015: Took out too much, leaving a gap between F-22 & SC, will have to pack it out, after permanantly fitting SC]

Trial fitted the manual extension tube to the noselift, and found it a lot easier to operate than the simple bar I had been using. Installed the manual extension tube.

The builder who supplied me with the nose box I am using for a mould has indicated he is not happy with my portrayal of his workmanship in it. Sincere apologies fellow Canardian, it was not my intent, and probably did not express myself well. I got the part because he wasn't happy with it, and I never intended to actually use it, but to cut it up as a mould. At this point I cut it up and trimmed the bits until I had 1/4" clearance all around and a pleasing shape, then put it back together with bondo and stirring sticks, held together with plasterboard screws until cured.

Plans have you adding a wedge-shaped air diverter behind the Nose Gear Cover after installation. Possibly I have more confidence my cover will fit because I know my plug fits with the gear retracted, so I shaped a bit of blue foam for a diverter and 5-min it to the rear of the plug. This will be covered by the inner skin, rather than being taped on later. I will cover the foam when I tape the outboard skin, a concept that doesn't seem to rate a mention in the plans...

Removed plasterboard screws from the plug, covered it with grey tape and mounted it on a block of wood.

Set up the Rudder Pedals again, and fixed a location for the Master Cylinder mounts. Hogged out the foam.
