Brief Description:  Canard tips and Elevator counterweights

Tidied up CS-10 sockets, aiming for 0.15" clearance.

PORT CS-10 has better clearance with the top skin, but still not perfect. Neither is terribly square, so find the touch point with a bit of paint, and file until I get +30 degrees TE down.

Becoming frustrated with fitting and removing hinge pins have the idea of inserting short lengths of rod through the tips. I only have threaded rod, but it works brilliantly, makes it really quick to mount the elevator, check clearance, remove the elevator and adjust.

Fille up the flox corners, and micro'd remaining foam.

Layup 1 x BID inside CS-10 sockets and inside of Canard tips.

Layup 2 x UNI over CS-10.

Notice I haven't tried the balance of the PORT elevator yet. Have to wait for cure. Then realise I will have to re-check the STBD, as I removed some more CS-10 for clearance.

After trimming, this it is for Chapter 11. Remaining tasks are:

- Fitting the elevator trim, and I haven't yet decided between a Strong electric trim (which attaches to the control stick) or a Davenport manual trim with a FG spring attached to the spool piece, and,

- Fill and contour the Canard. I reckon this can wait until I fill and contour everything else, and have sourced some West epoxy.

Later. All-in-all, a frustrating and challenging chapter, with two tiny, but complicated things to show for it.
