Brief Description:  Preparing for Elevator upper skin layup

Trimmed Elevator bottom skin.

Sanded CS-10 weight joggle. [Timewarp 27JUL15: Placing this joggle at the plans position of 5" from the tip was really stupid when my elevators are 3" longer than plans. Joggle is now outboard of the outboard hinge and not usable. Joggle should be at 8" from tip of original length canard.]

Started trimming TE overlap, aiming @ 0.3".

Played with moulds/jigs to make CS-10 & 11 lead counterweights. Discover their specification is not in the plans. Spend some time researching the archive.

One builder, (David Pierce #1068) had measured his prefab part and reported:

CS-10
Weight 264g, 21mm wide & 50mm long. Length is consistent with the full size view on Fig. 27

Plans imply 0.8" wide = 20mm, I'll go with 21mm

CS-11
DP says 175g 21 x 52 x 16mm
Matt Bunch says 238g 20 x 50 x 15mm

Not sure why the discrepancy with weight, but the dimensions seem to match.
