Brief Description:  Preparing for Canard upper skin layup #2

Finished the remaining tip joggle. Drum sander worked well at first, but then made a spectacular gouge out of the foam.

Inspection reveals the core is still very close to the profile, with most gouges and flat spots on the Leading Edge.

Decided to follow the original plans instructions for the LE. Sanded the LE to a smooth transition from fibreglass to foam using a sanding board, taking me back to the original starting point. Tapered this back to a smooth curve to the maximum overlap, using multitool with detail sander, leaving a small excess. I reckon I have left a little weight on, but will achieve the correct profile.

While working on the LE note the STBD support jig has come off the table, so screw it down. This pops the bondo between the canard and the block, so fix this with 5-min and tie down the tip with stretchy rope.

Mix up some dry micro, and try to eliminate the foam gouges I have created. Not chasing a perfect finish, just a pleasing shape to refill later.
