Brief Description:  Laying up Canard Lower Spar Cap

Masked the exposed core with masking tape and newspaper.

Layed up Lower Spar Cap. STBD cap seemed a bit deeper, and there is a slight bias in this direction, and I skimped a bit this side. [Timewarp 10MAY15: looks OK really, the tape and newspaper obscured the true picture a bit]

Applied 71.5' of tape in 9 plies, lengths of each, 10.5, 10.5, 10, 10, 7.5, 6.5, 6, 5.5 and 5 feet.

Cozy Grrl recommended man's comb, cut to Cap width worked really well to keep the fibres straight, squeegeed the crap out of it with credit cards cut to spar width. Could really see a difference when the layup was still too wet, it felt squidgy under the squeegee.

Whack on the peel ply and put up a heat tent.
