Brief Description:  MLG Outer Cover

Trimmed MLG Tabs with grinding bit on airwheel.

Deviated from plans with MLG Outer Cover, I couldn't see how I could achieve a transition from the FWD to AFT bottom profile of the NACA with 3/8" foam. I used 3/4" H45 (seatback leftovers) for the NACA bottom and sides, and 1" H45 (NACA leftovers) for the outer bottom portion. I am also using the Hicks method, with no joggles on the fuselage, installing an internal flange later. Cover will be held on by nutplates on the flange.

For ease of sanding, and to suit the size of foam I had, did the NACA bottom in two halves, split along the centerline. Foam ended up 3/8" thick FWD and AFT, 9/16" in the middle, shaped with random orbit sander and a sanding board.
