Brief Description:  MLG Tabs and Outer Cover. LB repair

Made second half of NACA bottom. Was much easier and quicker to do the second to match the first.

NACA sides done the same, then notice that, if layed up like the plans will be too narrow if the layup is over the FWD and AFT parts. Re-jigged the sides to recess them into the sides the width of 2 x BID, then 5 min (plans say micro for some reason) each side part to the respective bottom, then sanded along the centreline untill the fit was right.

Another plans deviation, the plans don't say anything about the transition from the sides to the bottom, didn't particularly want to leave a layup-friendly radius to do them in one go, so just laid up the NACA bottom and sides with 2 x BID.

Examined my soul and decided I hadn't done enough for today, and decided to break the rule I had set last week and have a look at the Landing Brake Fus cutout I had previously murdered. Still looked horrible. Got to work with die grinder and sandpaper and removed all epoxy ridges and bubbled glass. Examined result, and decided it wasn't that bad, and a series of 2 x BID patches would recover it.

Reattached LB to installation jig. Trimmed edges of LB-23 side of hinge 30 degrees in from the hinge pin, and removed 2mm from outer edge to fit into the available space.

Cut LB actuator slot with step drill and die grinder.

Layed up patches for LB Cutoutt and peel plied edges.

Used leftover resin to apply flox corner and 2 x BID cover to Fus side MLG cutouts. Can't find where the plans have you do this, CH07 P5 says this should still be exposed foam, but I imagine we are just waiting for the MLG strut, to check clearance.

6 hours later removed peel ply and knife trim. Worked well and easily.
