Fitted LWX/LWY, woodwork for Main Landing gear and Main Spar carry through, 1 x BID tape over the top. [Timewarp 04JUN14: Plans have you putting a tape over the wood at this point, and after considerable glassing trim the transition of the lower longeron from square to triangular in Chapter 09 Step 1. This is just dumb. I did it in Chapter 06 while looking for things that should be done before putting the bottom on, having read ahead for any references to what this transition should ultimately look like. Will all be hidden behind an armrest anyhow, so I would recommend smoothing it now, before applying a single tape.]
Carved foam to go within this. Plans say to make a form, layup the channel, fit it then fit foam around it. Seemed a dumb way to me, so carved the electrical channel into the solid foam, pinned it down onto plastic, micro and layup 1 x BID into the channel, overlapping 3/4" onto the foam.
