Brief Description:  Upper Longerons - Laminate

Laminated upper longerons with flox without incident. Plans don't actually say how to do it. I clamped 2 laminations together, then buttered them with flox, then put the clean lamination between. Maybe I should have painted the clean lamination with epoxy on both sides.

Didn't want to stop, so took a chance and put on the doublers/stiffeners before cure. Only problem experienced was the fixing nails spreading the laminations. Where this happened I withdrew the nails and moved the hole a bit to hit the lamination.

In accordance with the FAQ, mounted forward doubler at 5.45" [Timewarp 28/04: Doubler is too far aft. Some bits of the plans show some is supposed to be trimmed off, but it is 0.2" too far aft. Not the only problem with this FAQ] After consideration, was not as bad as first thought, as with the FHC doubler already installed the plans datum for the placement of F28 is the back of the plans part, which is the middle of mine. F*&^ing changes!

Plans say make cuts in the stiffeners every 0.75", but only needed this in the area of maximimum curve. 1.5" worked for the rest.
