Brief Description:  Continue to level and square aft fuselage.

Today I continued to level and square aft fuselage and study the F21 plan page. With the bottom skin clecoed on and all cross members clamped into place the fuselage was stable. My wife and I flipped the fuselage over and I started measuring and squaring the tops of the fuselage sides.

Next I drilled and clecoed the aft bulkhead and lower angle support. I then worked on positioning the cross tie box to the top forward side skins. This was a very tricky work. The cross tie box is fastened to the side skins, vertical and horizontal splice plates and the upper longerons. The width must be 40 inches from outside skin at the upper forward longerons and I had to slowly remove about 3/32 from the cross tie box to get it to fit. I fits well and I was able to drill and cleco.

I also positioned cross ties 2,3, and 4 into position and ready to drill.
