Brief Description: Cleaning and smoothing the welded holes in flaps.
Today I picked up the flaps from the welder. I was disapointed with the quality of the welding as I had discussed in detail what the expectations were for the welding. The welder expressed that he could close the holes without building up over the hole. However each weld is raised about 1/8 to 3/16 inches.
I have started grinding away and leveling-out the weld. I'll work on one flap and make a decision on wether or not to order new flap skins. I have also considered building the aerobatic Aileron and flaps by doing so I would cut the bad portion from the flap to make it shorter as the areobatic Ailerons are wider.
