Brief Description: Bent Flanges on gussets. Made template for the 05
Tonight I bent the forward rib gussets 06 and 07. There are a total of 16 gussets required and each gusset had 2 flanges to be bent. In addition I bent the 4 practice gussets that I had made. The Harbor Freight 30 inch bender worked better than I had expected and I am pleased with the way the gussets look. The 06 gusset has 10 pilot holes and the 07 gusset has 11 pilot holes. When the time comes that will be a lot of drilling, deburring, and riveting.
I also used tracing paper to trace the 05 forward rib from the full scale plans. I then laminated and cutout the drawing which will be used as a template to cut 01-04 rib assemblies.
