Today was spent making up the rudder skin and then finishing off with the spar strap. I almost stuffed it up. You must be very careful budding scratch builders with the measurements shown on the plans. They only show the 'horizontal' distance for the triangular shape of the control surfaces not the diagonal. You need to remember your high school maths to calculate the position of the bend when folding them up. I have a perfectly formed wrong one to show for an earlier stuff up when doing the ailerons.
