Brief Description:  Control system

It's actually been a welcome change to another medium to work with....steel. I started with the joy stick mounts as they are all constructed out of square tubing which is a little thicker than the rest of the welding involved as well as being easier to hold square and straight. The first picture shows one of the aileron push rods set up in the vice ready to weld the bolt onto the end. You need to be careful as the bolt is much heavier than the tubing so you need to watch your heat carefully, but the finished result came out really neat. I did some test pieces initially to double check my welding, this consisted of spare off cuts of metal tubing, doing a weld and then belting the crap out of it with a sledge hammer, all I managed to do was bend the tubing flat and over while the weld held fully, I was very relieved! The joy sticks and cradle are finished bar final painting and fitting up with the various bushes and bearings etc.
