The pictures really don't show it. I'm looking at my small pile of components for the firewall, and just cannot see how I spent so much time to produce so little. The material is hard enough to fold and shape and then you get to the hole drilling. Drilling the holes in the stainless steel just simply SUCKS! I ended up using 3 cobalt drill bits and doing most of the holes in the drill press, holding and rigging up wooden blocks to hold it all in the right spot, made it easier. The ones in the middle of the lower firewall I had to do by hand, and they were just plain hard work. But very slow speed, plenty of lube and a large amount of patience means that it is finally done. I don't ever want to build a stainless steel aircraft.
Basic folded stainless steel components.
This is the best way I found to drill the holes, just bloody awkward.
