Decided to tackle the vertical stabilizer tip and get the VS finished.Really wish I hadn't drilled the pilot holes through the tip rib without first sandwiching the fiberglass tip between the skin and the rib.
The thickness of the front of the tip pushes the rib back a bit so the rib holes don't line up. I ended up cutting more off the front of the tip rib (to 1/4" of the first forward rivet hole) and managed to get one pilot hole drilled through all three thicknesses.
I'll have to do some epoxy work on the seams of the tips at some point. I don't think this is going to be a show piece, but hopefully paint will hide a multitude of sins.
