Brief Description: Rudder Assembly, Elevator Drive Horn Prime
* Used SEM Self Etching Primer to prime the Elevator Drive Horn after rivet holes were drilled. * Used lacquer thinner to remove sticker residue and Sharpie marks from various parts. * Tested the Harbor Freight rivet gun on scrap. * Began the move back to the garage workshop from the basement. Brought up the compressor.
* Made a deburring tool from a 6" Nicholson flat file by breaking it off in the vise and grinding the sharp corners and edges off. Used it to do a final deburring on rudder ribs inside the flanges.
* Assembeld and riveted the Rudder. Had problems with the pneumatic rivet gun - seems to not work when a rivet stem doesn't eject. I started with 45 lbs pressure and increased it to 60 lbs but it doesn't seem to matter much. Finished the job with the hand riveters. Afterwards, found many marginally crooked rivets which I'll have to redo.
