Brief Description: Vertical Stab Main Spar Assembly
* Still working on T09-01 V.S. Main Spar Ass'y. Trying to drill through 5 pieces. Messed up T12-05 Angle when drilling (it slipped and one hole is off). * Used a #11 drill for one of the 3/16" bolt holes for AN3 bolts. Seems too loose, but 3/16" drill is fairly tight. * Called Kerry Fores @ Tech Support and he says either is OK. I feel better with a tighter fit and will go with the 3/16" drill bit for the rest of the holes. They will support shear loads better, which is the purpose of the bolts. * Kerry says, "Nothing on the Sonex is critical." * Asked Kerry if it was OK to unbend and rebend a channel spar where the bend was off by 1/4" or so. He says he doesn't advise it. I'll plan to remake the 2 pieces (T10-02 and T10--03) later before assembly of the Vertical Stabilizer. * Says he will look at my emailed photos of defective Spinner and let me know if they'll replace it. * Drilled and deburred final #30 rivet holes and all bolt holes in T09-01.
