The baffles/plenum have long been a worry of mine. I don't like Van's rubber against the cowl method of sealing. I know it works. I know it's easier. I don't like it. So the struggle in my mind is do what I want or get the plane in the air faster? I'm going to build a plenum. It may not add a single knot of airspeed, may not cool any better than a well done stock method. I don't care, I prefer the idea and engineering of a solid leak free plenum..we shall see if I regret it.
