After spending too much time on the canopy frame and accomplishing pretty much zilch...I needed something to put a smile on my face. So, I fired up the laptop and loaded the VPX config software. Then I hooked it to the VPX with the supplied ethernet cable, held my breath....and pushed the Battery Master button. I heard a reassuring 'thunk' from the battery area and my laptop showed the VPX coming to life! It was exciting.
I then loaded the config that I downloaded from their online config tool (very cool) and the VPX acted like I expected it to. I verified all the switches work, turned the dynon D6 on and off via the lap top, GX Pilot as well, moved the flaps and aileron trim back and forth...and well there wasn't anything else to do so I packed it in.
What was the purpose of doing this now? Hmmm....well, motivation. I like making the pretty lights come on....shoot me.
