Brief Description:  Interior paint day

Running out of things to do prior to putting the floors back in, I decided it was time to paint the interior. I used Jetflex WR which is a Sherwin Williams water based polyurethane. It gets rave reviews from the guys on vansairforce.com so I gave it a shot. I'm not the type that thinks my interior needs to be auto grade perfect, in fact a bit of texture is a good thing in my mind...so I tried a spray gun I've never used before..with mixed results. I used an HVLP touch up gun from Lowes....as my big sprayer would have made a god awful mess. The overspray was very little and the resulting finish was ok...but in retrospect, I should have used a full size HVLP gun. The spray pattern of the little gun was just so small that it took a lot of passes to get full coverage and even then a few of the removable pieces (side panels, floors etc, not pictured) came out marginal. I'll have more pieces to paint as I put it together and I'll just hit the marginal ones again then. I can't see any of the fuselage sections that offend me...so far.

All in all, it looks great. A sandy color paint, seats in a saddle color with sandy colored stitching and side panels of undetermined color, if any.
