Brief Description:  Canopy Skirt day 2

Day two of the canopy skirt saga ended with some decent progress. We shaped the edge around the canopy and managed to get the skirts to lay down fairly well by duct taping them to the fuselage while doing the layups. Once the layups dried, they held the skirts down fairly well. A large dead blow hammer is tempting at several points...but I suggest restraint.

Scott Taylor (RV8 starting fuselage) stopped in for a while and kept Bill and I from screwing up.....much. Once the first two layers of cloth were on and curing we decided to put the vertical stab and rudder on to see how that fiberglass is going to fit. What we forgot to do is put the bolt in the stinger that keeps it from rotating...which promptly made a big scary crash as the tailwheel rotated. No damage done of course, but wish I had a video camera running to see the three genius aircraft builders faces when it crashed down. :-)
