Brief Description:  The big cut

Bill and I made some final adjustments and decided it was ready....for the big one.

The cut itself is a non event. Easier than cutting the edges of the canopy really and the top of the canopy is significantly thinner than the bottom edges. All in all, turned out well. We ended up using three alignment holes on the sliding part and two on the windscreen with clecos in them. Just seemed easier to guarantee a good fit than going without would have been. The cut was done on the saw horses and then there was a bit of trimming to get the clearance even due to the windscreen settling a bit. I spent WAY more time worrying about it than I should have....though the canopy alignment is a whopping pain in the butt.

The sikaflex hasn't arrived yet so we took it off and stored it while working on other things.
