Brief Description:  Canopy frame fit..

Ok, this hasn't been my favorite part of the build. The frame did not fit all that well, up to a 1/4 inch off at the back and the hoop wasn't lining up with the front roll over weldment very well at all. This lightweight tubing is also pretty damn strong. I must have put that frame on and taken it back off for more bending 50 times. It finally started going my way once the Marine in me got a bit fired up and I decided it was either going to bend like I wanted it to or snap in half...one way or the other that damn tubing was going to move...and it did. It's amazing how far I had to twist and bend it before reaching the point where it didn't just spring back. Also, you move one area by gentle bending and all you've really done is bend the entire structure a bit...which lines up the left side but throws off the right. If you want to bend just the right side, you have to isolate that side and....to quote a movie...get medievil on it's ass. First pic is how I finally got the rear right to see it my way. Leverage..

The hoop lineup was corrected by a rachet strap wrapped around the hoop and secured to the welded up beefy parts at the bottom.

So, glad that's over. Now...the plexi...

I have a feeling my frustration has only just begun, but no jarhead grunting on the plexi!

The rear has a tiny gap...I say good enough.
