Finished up the Magnetometer mount tonight. The Dynon needs an 8 degree tilt to match the panel, so a bit of trig and a bit of fab and voila. Took me a few minutes to figure out that the reason my measurement was off was the thickness of the .063 I used to make the mount...but an angle bracket fixed that up.
I would have mounted the Magnetometers and installed the whole she-bang but as it turns out the Dynon needs 4 conductor shielded instead of the 3 I thought it needed. So...waiting on another Stein order. It seems that more often than not I get rolling on some of this electrical and find I am missing a key piece. Frustrating. So, I will once again shift off to something else.
The good news is my panel has shipped! Stein says it looks amazing...we shall see.
