Brief Description:  Finalized panel plan

Well, the decision had to be made, so I made it. MGL is just not there yet with the IEFIS, despite Rainier's sales speaches on VAF. Pireps from the field state that it locks up on the bench, can't process ADSB at all, won't communicate with Garmin....basically, it's a pretty screen that replaces the steam gauge six pack....but that's it. So, not buying MGL. The AFS was my second choice but when you add it all up...its pretty expensive and doesn't do any more than the garmin. Plus, it's another one man shop...if Rob dies, the company disappears. I'm not interested my own version of the Blue Mountain saga....so not buying AFS.

That leaves....Garmin. Back to where I started..

So, Stein has my panel and they are cutting it to the layout I dictated below. The only change is they will move the radio stack up to be level with the bottom of the EFIS screens. That will require me to modify the Dynon D6 flush mount (orange box), but I imagine that is pretty doable. It feels good to have that decision behind me. I agonized over it for far longer than I would have thought possible.
