Brief Description:  Finished trim tab and pitch trim

So, if I'm getting all of the tail wiring complete, that means I also need to get the pitch trim tab and electric servo work done...another in that list of things I've put off.

As it turns out I've lost the instruction sheet for the servo mounting. Vans, for whatever reason was being wierd about emailing me a copy. No problem, I took a look at how I had done it on the RV4 tail hanging on the wall and while the RV4 is done differently than the RV8, its not that different. A bit of head scratching and I had it figured out.

The first image is showing the servo is at center. Then I aligned the trailing edges and cut the threaded rod to length. Will a centered servo and trim tab mean a level flight? I doubt it..but I wanted to see the little lights move. It's the engineering geek in me...cut me some slack.

I also ordered an Ameri-king ELT today so I can get the antenna run to the empennage. Provided I put the radio antenna in the wing tip, I'm done running wires to the tail...probably.

Dynon autopilot servos are also on the way so I can button up the final wing skin and put the pitch servo in place as well. Aircraft Spruce put my picture up on the wall today...this week has been profitable for them with the further addition of the Vertical Power VP-X pro and harness from earlier this week.
