Brief Description: Installed first major firewall electrical pass-thr
I picked up two firewall pass-through kits from Avery Tools, and installed the first one near the battery. First step took some time and patience: I used a step-drill to drill the 1 1/8" hole. I should have used more lube: I ended up deforming the hole slightly, giving it a raised edge on one side. Filing the edge down tended to enlarge the hole, so I kept that to a minimum.
With the hole complete, I mated the pass-through tube and mounting plates through holes I match-drilled with the tube's holes. I didn't skimp on the heat-resistant RTV.
