Brief Description: Building the DRDT-2 cradle platform
The DRDT is a C-frame that helps you place a hand-lever rivet or dimple squeezer deep onto the center-regions of components or skins. But as you see in image 1, it's a raised frame so I've got to either build an inset into my work bench or build a raised platform to hold things at the same level as the squeezer bits. I chose the latter. Man, this made dimpling the skins a BREEZE!
Dedicated time to redesigning my work benches with shag carpet padding, plus moved my 1/2 inch steel back-rivet plate to an inset. This should help do a better job of avoiding scratches on the skins.
