I balanced the elevators, each individually. The left elevator (with the trim motor and wiring) didn't require any balancing, but the right one was really nose heavy. I drilled almost a dozen different holes into the lead counterweight until I got a good balance. I'm sure it'll be tail-heavy once the aircraft is painted, but I'll handle that problem later by reintroducing lead shot into the drilled holes.
