Brief Description:  Rebuilding and painting the brake pedals

OK, I did something totally anal.

I figured I had better paint the brake pedals now while they're still not yet installed in the cockpit. I selected Krylon royal blue metallic in a rattle can. However, I did not want to paint over the flush rivets...

...so I masked them. Yes, 40 seperate hole-punched masking tape dots placed over each individual rivet on all 4 pedals. After hanging and spraying them, I think they look awesome.

Then on reassembly, I installed push-back springs on the brake pistons. I am much happier with the way these look.

I will ultimately apply this blue metallic paint to my panel and those metal parts of the cockpit not covered by the custom interior. It'll compliment the paint scheme, which will consist largely of this medium-deep blue, grey, and silver.
