Brief Description:  A New Home for the Project

It has been a long period of inactivity for the project as it sat in a storage unit that had no power and was mixed in with all my household stuff. I got lucky and a 10x24 unit close to where I live opened up and it provides the critical component - Electricity. That comes in the form of an overhead light socket but it should have enough amperage capacity to run a carefully managed shop. I have a small air compressor and my collection of shop equipment along with a fan that are all modest consumers of power so no big issues there. Lighting will be handled by hanging several twin bulb 48" florescent light fixtures from the ceiling.

1) This is the new shop as I got it, empty space but with a lot of promise and the all important electricity source. The floor could be cleaner and I will need to give it a good sweeping before I proceed much further assuming I can find the broom.

2) Moved in at Last. I had a truck and crew hired for Dec 8th so I got all of the aircraft materials moved into the shop at last. The household stuff is in a separate unit just a few spots away so if any boxes were misidentified I do not have to move them far. Also there is the chance that some aircraft stuff ended up with the household stuff so I will have to check there if anything seems to be missing. I have a fair amount of work ahead of me now to get the shop setup. There are three work benches I got at HF that need assembling, two wooden ones that will be joined togather and a single metal workbench that I can mount the vise to.

3) I was moved in but not done with buying materials, parts and equipment. This picture was taken a bit inside because the very front of the unit was becoming crowded and obstructed the view. The biggest item in the front is the box that the canopy came in along with more raw materials that are slated for the Forward Fuselage Mockup. I made several more purchases of equipment at the local Harbor Freight that that are in there somewhere. They are not expected to be high quality or long lived but they will
