Brief Description:  Mount Engine to FWF Mockup Stand #2

1) To attach the engine to the engine mount an array of hardware is used. Princilpe is a set of bushings made of a red urethane material that includes matching cupped washers to go on the outside ends. Because the AN6-36 bolt diameter is smaller than the mounting hole in the engine case it is covered with a 1/2"" spacer made from 1/2"" O.D. by 3/8"" I.D. Tygon tubing in that area. The bolt head is provided with an AN washer to help distribute the load from the mount and the far end is secured with an AN310-6 castled nut and an AN416 clip for retention.

2) The mounting is done with the bolt coming up through the mount and the engine case clamped between a pair of bushings. The nut is used to tighten the essembly down until the bushings are squezzed out to the diameter of the cupped washers and than the reusable clip is inserted to keep everything togather and properly tightened.

3) The final result, an engine attached to the mount and ready to start working out the placement of the numerous components that need to be mounted on the firewall. This includes the dual fuel pumps and filters along with the routing of the fuel line to the Fuel Metering Unit. An inlet duct will be fitted and the location and attachment of the components to the Fuel Injection System will be worked out here.
