Brief Description:  Fuel Instrumentation

The fuel level will be sensed by two Princton Capacitive Fuel Level Sensors. These are a 24" tube that is screwed into a threaded fitting in the wing root (tapered pipe thread). The attachment is at the top of the tank and is angled to place the end of the probes at the bottom of the tank. Each probe has a remote electronics module that will be attached to the inside of the fuselage in close proximity to the sender loaction. These senders provide the signal to the engine display for fuel level. The downside of the capacitive sender is that the calibration is different for various fuels so the decision will have to be made whether to calibrate for Avgas or Mogas.

1) This is a top view that showes the locations for the major components in the fuel system.

2) A view of the wforward wing root to show where all of the penetrations into the wet wing are made.

3) This is the schematic for the fuel level sensors with the assumption that a Dynon Skyview Engine Monitoring System module will be used for fuel quantity.
