Brief Description:  Refurbished Components

I Just got a shipment in from WW (FlyCorvair.com) with refurbished engine components.

The stock engine cooling sheet metal parts were cleaned and powder coated black, all ready to install on the rebuilt engine. There are four pieces total, two long parts that go under the cyclindat banks and twl smaller parts that go at the back of the engine. These components are an essential part of the engine cooling system design and MUST be reused regardless of the airframe. They are easily integrated with the commercially available cooling baffles that provide a seal with the cowling.

The rear accessory case was throughly cleaned and rebuilt with WW's new high volume oil pump components (sticking out to the lower left in picture #2. All work was excellent and the service is well worth the price.

The engine block was throughly cleaned and reworked for the 3000cc parts by a combination of Falcon Machine and Roys Garage. Those parts were assembled into the short block and 5th bearing installed by Sport Performance Aviation along with WW (FlyCorvair.com). This gave me a good foundation to start with and the knowledge that the 5th bearing was correctly installed. The 5th bearing, which provides support for prop gyroscopic loads is seen on the right side in a slightly brighter aluminum color and has the Gold Prop Hub attached to it.
