Brief Description:  Continue AeroVee Engine Assembly

With crankshaft installed, bolt AeroVee case halves together to verify proper rotation. It is impossible to turn the crank 360 degrees with the 6 12mm bolts torqued to 15 ft/lbs (300 in/lbs). When placing left case half on, both side flanges cannot both be tightened at the same time - the case rocks/pivots over the crank.

Sonex tech support has responded on 12/5/2014 with the results of their inspection of my original crankshaft, they say it was bolted into a new crankcase, and no problems were noted.

In addition tech support stated that if there is a problem with my 2nd crank, there must be something wrong with the crankcase halves.

Tech support seems to think that my excessive runout measurements on the crank are not a problem and can be "used as is". Sonex has no limits on the crankshaft or prob hub tolerances, whatever comes from the machine shop is what you get.
